- In the same scene, Tom gets polka-dot swimsuit looks similar to the swimsuit from two shorts from the Gene Deitch-era.
- Tuffy doesn't speak in this episode.
- This is one of the episodes where Tom wins at the end.
- This episode is a role-reversal of other episodes where Tom gets so distracted getting Jerry it ruins his date with a girl; Here it is Toodles who ends up ruining the date as Tom even tries to get her out of the house at the end.
- Toodles seems to be obsessed with catching mice unlike most other episodes. Interestingly Tom’s love interest in the 2021 is obsessed with catching Jerry too (albeit in a more “feral” way).
